New York Jets cornerback Chris Boyd remains hospitalized after being injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in Midtown.

New York Jets cornerback Chris Boyd remains hospitalized after being injured in a shooting in midtown early Sunday morning.

Some of his teammates expressed gratitude on Monday that the 29-year-old's condition appears to have improved.

The latest on the NYPD investigation

Police have released photos of the man involved in the shooting.They said Boyd left the popular Sei Les restaurant on West 38th Street between Seventh Avenue and Broadway just after 2 a.m. after an argument with a group of people approached another group, followed by gunfire.

Boyd, who underwent surgery and surgery on his lungs, is now in a police hospital and is now in a stable condition at the police hospital.

Police are looking for a man who fled eastbound on 38th Street.

Boyd, a seven-year veteran who was in his first season with a shoulder injury that landed him on injured reserve.
