After the unpredictable and chootic tradet last, the NFL is red.Let's take a look at my favorite prospect and what it means for each team involved in the trade.
- Trevor from Charger
Minutes before the deadline closed, a deal was finalized in which the Saints sent former first-round pick Trevor Penning to the Chargers in exchange for a 2027 sixth-round pick. While this trade may not be as much as other trades, it can still be significant for both teams.
Charger class: B
While this trade isn't a game changer for either team, the right-handers need all the help they can get on the offensive line. The team has seen five injured linemen this season, the two main ones being Rashaun Slater and Joe Alt.Guard Mekhi Becton has also dealt with injuries this season. That's where Penning comes in. The former Saints 2022 first-round pick out of Louisiana hasn't been flashy, but he's had a decent season, allowing just three sacks with four penalties for 358 yards. With how bad the scrimmage is, any help is possible, and given that the 6'7 325 26-year-old could be a cheap sixth-rounder, it's hard to blame them for this decision.
Degree of Saints: B
There isn't much to say about this trade for the Saints when looking at its impact on the team.Although this one hurts, as it appears to be a first bust three years later.Seeing Penning's production for New Orleans, the release was probably beneficial for the team.Penning was clearly underperforming under the Saints regime and it was time for the two sides to part ways.Getting a sixth-round pick in return is just a bonus, more so than trading for a player that meant little to this franchise.Overall, this trade wasn't particularly bad or particularly good for the Saints, but it made perfect sense for both sides_ which is why I gave the Saints a B.
- Rasheed Shahid tới Seahawks
One of the most complete teams in the NFL in the Seattle Seahawks made a move on the final day of the deadline, trading heavily traded Saints Rashid Shaheed for a conditional fourth-round pick in 2026 and a fifth-round pick in 2026. This is another trade that may not shake up the league, but still has the potential to be a good trade for both sides
Seahawks grade: B+
Let's start with Seattle.Séganville has been one of the best teams this season, especially with a wide following.Third-year receiver Japon Simigba is the best ripper in football, the Eagles' top-five combo pick, in the Rabbitohs. So why trade in Shahid? On the road, Shahid brings real speed to the table.Shaw is known as one of the NFL's fastest rushers, racking up 2,125 yards over the past 12 years with the Saints.Every season in New Orleans, his longest run has gone over 50 yards, making him a true deep threat. Now add to Seattle's tight end, so the receiving corps will be tough to stop this team.Rashid's ability to carry himself well on the upside is worth a significant figure, and why the Eagles are getting a B+B+ in this deal.
Santos Grao: B-
At least the Saints know and understand that they aren't going anywhere this season as they decided to trade their second best receiver and possibly their offensive lineman. However, I still think this team is looking to rebuild and get back to the success they saw during the Drew Brees era, it would be nice if Shahid could make an impact in the process. The Saints' decision to sell makes a lot of sense, and the compensation for the late-round picks is not a bad return.Overall, not much to say for the Saints in this trade. They can only hope these picks pay off like a martyr, or they'll be stuck in the same predicament they're in now, which is why the Saints get a B- on this trade.
-I-Jakobie Myrs April-jaguars
Jakobie Myers finally got what he wanted after a lengthy trade request and was sent to the Jaguars in exchange for a fourth and sixth round pick in 2026.Jacksonville desperately needs a solid Wildcat and Las Vegas desperately needs anything but a tight end, giving both sides trade potential.
Jaguar grade: B+
As you might expect, the biggest struggle for the Jaguars this season has been wide receiver chemistry. Brian Thomas Jr. had negative sophomore chemistry with QB Trevor Lavrance, dropped a few passes and failed to connect with him overall after a wildly impressive rookie year.Myers is a great fit for Lawrence and this team is struggling.Rather, Myers is a great veteran who knows the game and will do the most important thing a receiver can do, catch the ball and get on the field.Even though this team already has a lot of receivers, by the time they fix those chemistry issues, Myers will be fine and get the job done for a Jags unit that is hoping to make a playoff run. That's why this trade gets a B+ from me.
Raid class: C-
Las Vegas was under a lot of pressure to make a trade before the deadline, but the demand for a trade doesn't lessen the pain of a trade that was just as beneficial at the time in Vegas. In two-and-a-half years with the Raiders, Myers recorded 12 touchdowns and a 1,000-yard season in 2024. Jacoby was a solid wide receiver for a struggling Raiders unit, and losing him is a tough blow to the team until the fourth and sixth round picks. The return didn't hurt for the Raiders to lose a wide receiver who ended up with a C.
- Quinn's Williams for beef
Now, in a true Blockbuster trade, the Jets traded Starce Pickle Cutie for a 2027 second-round pick and a cornerback for a 2027 two-round pick.It may seem like a stretch, with the Cowboys locking down the defensive line with a pass and the Jets ready to return it in the future.
Cowboys grad: a-
Despite the criticism of helping a player, I expect Williams to be a force on offense and defensive line for years to come.In six years with the Yankees, Williams had 182 tackles with 40 sacks and eight sacks.Los Angelelani Lavaga, especially the front seven, struggle in front of any defense.Since it was written in the first round, one of the biggest topics in Smith trade is Mazie Smith. In general, the addition of Wiwannen Williams, entering one of the most dangerous offenses in the league in Lila, is a big step in the circle of CAMBo.
Jet rating: A
The Jets are on fire, and I'm here for it.Yes, it hurts to lose one of their best defensive players, but when you get a first-rounder, a second-rounder and an interim replacement for Williams in Mazie Smith, it's hard to give this team anything other than an A as they look to the future. The Jets get first-round picks for a loaded 2026 and 2027 class and got that tank right, making this deal an A for New York.
- Gardner sauce for the Colts
The Weather Service was down this morning when the fruit was sold to the Jets Sarar Sarar Sarar Saray. For the exchange to be a farm, the jets that receive 2026 and 2026 First pick and the second year about receiving A.D.Mitchell.The most explosive business of the winter, but that's one sided.
Akomanga Colts: B
Although all collectors are talking about, collecting fish is clearly a top ten, and if that person has to be cornered, what they give away will make or break their future. One thing is clear - the current type with this business, go with everything they haveWhich isn't a bad idea after all, kids are the best criminals at the best of times, and they're the biggest party fishThe problem is missing the first twoIf you don't win with what you have, your first loss for the next two years, make the most risky high-profile trade in NFL history.
Rating of nozzles: A+
Despite losing their best defender, that's the maximum value for almost any player in the NFL, and New York would have been foolish to turn down this trade when the Jets are as depressed as they are right now.The Jets are already in full-capacity mode, one of the worst teams in football, and coach Sauce Gardner wouldn't have come close to what a top two would bring to the Jets' future, making this trade an A+ for New York as they enter a complete rebuild by the deadline.
