On November 7, Cal State Fullerton women's soccer player Lauren Turner passed away.
The school announced Turner's death on Monday, November 10, after spending nearly six weeks in intensive care at the hospital following a tragic off-campus traffic collision.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his parents, Christopher and Christine, sisters Nicolette and Victoria, teammates, coaches, staff, friends and all those fortunate enough to know him, the school said in a statement.
Turner, a sophomore, last appeared in a game for the Titans on Sept. 25 against UC Riverside.

"On September 27
Turner, a native of Tustin, Calif., appeared in 10 games this season and made eight starts.She played the full 90 minutes in the Titans' 1-0 win over Pittsburgh on Aug. 28, marking the program's second-ever win over an ACC opponent.
She appeared in all 20 games as a freshman, including four starts.Her first career varsity goal came on October 3, 2024 at home against UC Riverside.
The Cal State Fuleston Women's Soccer Team will hold a light vigil in Turner's honor on Wednesday, November 12, 5:30 p.m. on the field at Titan Stadium.
"Lauren was the funniest, most engaging and caring teammate you could ever find," a statement from the 2025 Titans football team said."She was the first to celebrate other people's victories. She was the true definition of a wonderful person. She was always filled with compassion, kindness and happiness. Her impact on the Titans women's soccer program was immeasurable. She will be deeply missed by all, but will always be remembered by her Titans family. We love you, Lauren 5, ours forever."
