Put VR TOOREY Horton on Injured Reserve Leads to Two from Team Practice

NASHVILLE — Rookie receiver Tory Horton was placed on injured reserve before their Week 12 game against the Titans, meaning he will have to miss at least four games before he is eligible to return.

They also elevated linebackers Patrick O'Connell and Jamie Sheriff from the practice squad, adding depth at linebacker with multiple injuries plaguing the team at that position.

Colorado State's fifth-rounder produced a wide variety of pants returned at wide receiver and punt returner.In his most recent game in Week 2, Horton had 0 receptions this season, including a 95-yard punt return touchdown.

Go to linebacker and middle linebacker Ernest Jones IV with a knee injury, questionable and not to practice Friday. He took his knee in Seattle week 9 in a win over the commanders, then go back the next game before the rams play the rams against the rams.

"The knee, it's been coming out the last couple of weeks, he's just been using it," coach Mike Macdonald said after Friday's practice."He didn't confirm anything, except that he was working on his knee."

The game was played without midfielder Tyrice Knight, who was ruled out due to a concussion he suffered in last week's game.

If Jones can't play, that leaves two of their top three off-ball linemen and the need for a starter alongside Drake Thomas.

Chazz Propratt is the only other sideball tight end on the 53-man roster, Jones, Thomas and Knight.Sporatt, signed before the start of the season, is one of the team's 'top' players in Week 9. He started five games last week.

O'Connell, who joined the team as an undrafted free agent out of Montana in 2023, has appeared in eight games over the past three seasons, including the last two with Seattle.

Signed as an undrafted free agent last year out of South Alabama, Sheriff entered the league as an outside linebacker/edge rusher and appeared in that role in the preseason, but then moved to outside linebacker with the Seahawks.
