Defenseman suffered an upper-body injury in Florida's second game of the season.
Dmitovy Krikov will be out five months with the Florida Panthers after surgery on a body injury, coach Paul Morris announced PANDADADA.
On October 29, the 35-year-old defenseman was injured in a second-round game at Florida State and on October 9 in a 2-1 win over the Flyers in Philadelphia.
The panthers were already without Captain Alexander bark babamov (knee), who is expected to be eight months, and send Mateyo Skichuk (Orn Adupoki), who is not expected until December.The fourth place Tomas' nose is also finished with what manager Bill Zitto calls a "long-term injury."
Kalikov was replaced by Tobias Tambias of the Charlotte Demons of the American Hockey League on Sunday.
"Dimitri is like some of the other players we have out there, he's unique in his role," Morris said."Great penalty killer, physical five, six (spot on defense), but he can slide and gap. So that's the gap.
“Uvis played I believe 74 games for us last year (76) so we will deliver the same performance.
"We have full confidence in the game UVIS can play.
Kulikov had 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 70 regular season games last season and five points (two goals, three assists) in 23 Stanley Cup playoff games, helping the Panthers win their second straight championship.
Selected by Florida in the first round (No. 14) of the 2009 draft, Kulikov has 247 points (50 goals, 197 assists) in 1,020 regular season games with the Panthers, Buffalo Sabers, Winnipeg Jets, New Jersey Devils, Edmonton Oilers, Ducksburgh Wild, Minnesota and Pittsburgh.He also has 15 points (three goals, 12 assists) in 76 playoff games.
