The Denver Broncos figure to be in the trade market for a wide receiver this offseason, and one of these three players makes sense.
In some ways, it could be a major setback for the front office if the Denver Broncos select a rookie with a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.Denver is clearly viewed as one of the premier teams in the league that could pull off a big trade this offseason.
This big trade may only cost the team 30 picks, but it will be worth it because this year's NFL draft class doesn't seem to be as deep as other years, and the Broncos were just one game away from the Super Bowl in 2025.
Now is the time for this team to make an aggressive move like this because there really is no better or more appropriate time than now, but could the Broncos trade 30 picks this offseason? We've listed three obvious names here.
The Denver Broncos should get their first pick if they can land one of these players
Jaylen Waddle, WR, Miami Dolphins
The Broncos had some level of interest in Jaylen Waddle at the trade deadline, but they obviously didn't pull the trigger. With the Broncos needing a wide receiver with Waddle's skill set, this trade should be a no-brainer if it's worth a 30 pick.He finished his career with three straight 1,000-yard seasons as a starter and has the speed to lead the defense.
Waddle didn't reach the 1,000-yard mark in the 2024 and 2025 seasons, but he had to play low end quarterback during that time, so it's not about him.
Drake London, WR, Atlanta Valke
It's unclear if Drake London could be traded, but if so, the Broncos should call. The main reason the Atlanta Falcons are able to entertain offers is because they have new management in place, no first round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, and they have players like Kyle Pitts and Bijan Robinson who are either free agents or due for a big payday.
At the end of the day, if the Falcons were to select two of these three players, London would certainly be the odd man out, as Pitts and Robinson are frankly generational talents at their respective positions.
London will turn 25 this summer and will have 919 yards and seven touchdowns in just 12 games this year. After a 2024 season of 100 receptions and 1,271 yards, London was actually on pace to finish the season with 97 receptions, 1,302 yards and 10 touchdowns if he played all 17 games this year.
With this receiver just entering his mid-20s and a high-quality weapon, the Broncos should call the Falcons and not hesitate to offer the 30th pick for his services.
Brian Thomas Jr., WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
With the Jacksonville Jaguars trading for Jakobi Meyers and seeing third-year receiver Parker Washington explode a bit, some wondered if Brian Thomas Jr. could be acquired.for the right price. His production dipped after a breakthrough rookie season, as he caught just 48 receptions this year and covered just 52.7 percent of his targets.
It's clear that something went wrong with Thomas in 2025, and with the possibility that Travis Hunter could still get snaps at wide receiver, the Jaguars could choose to trade Thomas. The team will certainly be looking for a first-round pick, as they don't even have a first-rounder in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Jacksonville actually traded to the Cleveland Browns during the 2025 NFL Draft for Hunter, so general manager James Gladstone may want to find a way to acquire the first-rounder this year.Thomas is a long-term vertical threat and can be a lethal option on offense.
We've seen the offense drive the ball down the field a lot in 2025, so adding a downfield hitter like Thomas will help that part of the team thrive.
