This is not outside the realm of possibility.
The Vikings were poised to do something special at QB in 2026
Vikings ready to do something unusual at QB in 2026 appeared on The Sporting News Add The Sporting News as a favorite source by clicking here.
You can argue that the Minnesota Vikings now have three quarterbacks who can really start in Week 1 after the start of free agency.
J.J.McCarthy, Kyler Murray and Carson Wentz made room for quarterback Kevin O'Connell.
For most, Murray is the club's starting quarterback, and they will battle it out for the backup role until Wentz and J.J.If Kyler plays well, he will be "the guy," and the other two will have to bide their time.
But for Illustrated's Mike Kadlick, he offered an interesting scenario that could happen for the Vikings in 2026.
"Not only did they reach a deal with No. 1 Kyler Murray more than a year after his release from the Cardinals, but they're bringing back Carson Wentz for 2026 after he went 2-3 in five starts last season, throwing six touchdowns to five interceptions," Kadlick wrote.
"As a result, the Vikings now use three signal callers who were all selected in the top 10 -- as Murray and Wentz will join JJ McCarthy on what has been known as one of the NFL's most impressive teams.

Can the Vikings play all 3 QBs?
Obviously they could. In fact, they did last year with McCarthy, Wentz and Max Brosmer.
But by 2026, O'Connell is eager to tackle the position and allow one player to start 17 games.
There's no telling what that will be, but it looks like Murray got his first this offseason.
Minnesota continues to question its decision to move Sam Darnold in favor of J.J., and it doesn't seem like the right decision.
Now that 2026 is startingseason, all three defenders have a chance to play meaningful football, but when there are multiple defenders, it means you don't have that.
And Minnesota needs to figure out who it wants to lead the offense in 2026.
