Bengals KB Joe Burrow From Fanatics Flag Football Classic Ok Mile

Bengals fans held their breath when Joe Barrow pulled down the flag during the first half of the Fanatics Flag Football Classic.

We didn't need that today. Joe Burrow intercepted a flag football game.

Bengals fans cheer as Wildcats quarterback Joe Burrow goes down to throw the flag after making a catch with Jayden Daniels during the Fanatics Flag Football Classic on March 21 at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.

Burrow looked at the officer and held out his hands as if to ask why the defender was not punished.

"All the Bengals fans were like, 'OK, Joe.'We don't want that."We don't want that today," Fox play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt said."He wants a penalty flag."

"That's about as close as we've seen to a flag toss and not a flag to draw," analyst Greg Olsen said.

Analyst Phoebe Schecter said during the broadcast that the play likely did not include a penalty because Burrow went down. This effectively ended the game.

Earlier in the game, Burrow threw six to Team USA's Isaiah Calhoun, and a touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins.

The Wildcats lost against Team USA, 39-14.

Burrow, a captain at the inaugural event, was asked earlier this week if he would consider playing flag football as he plans to make his Olympic debut at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

"I've always wanted to play in the Olympics," Borrow said. "The chance to win a gold medal (is) something I've been thinking about -- a moment like that -- for a long time, ever since I was little. I think it would be something special."

Former NFL great Tom Brady appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" to discuss flag football, and Brady sent a message to Burrow and Washington Commanders NFL quarterback Daniels. Like Burrow, Daniels also won the Heisman Trophy with the LSU Tigers.

"I said, 'You know, I'd love to win the Heisman Trophy,'" Brady said. They said, 'Say you-know-what. take it.'

The FFC founders are led by Brady and Jalen Hurts and coached by Sean Payton.Wildcats FFC is led by Burrow and Daniels and coached by Kyle Shanahan.

Games are played in a modified Olympic flag football format, with two 15-minute halves with a running clock on a 50x25 yard field.

The Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia was scheduled to host the event before the tour was announced.
