Greaters Game Preview 5 Questions and Answers with Eagles Vs. Week 8 Foe

Rival insight into Philadelphia's upcoming matchup.

To preview this Week 8 NFC East matchup, I caught up with our foes at Big Blue View. The excellent Ed Valentine took the time to answer my questions about this upcoming match.Let's take a look at the answers.

[See BBV for answers to Ed's questions about Eagles.]

1. What's the atmosphere like as a disaster barrier against the Broncos?Do you wait for the champions to get angry and come back, or will a loss like this weaken them and cause more problems?

I honestly don't know what to expect.I don't think Jaxson Dart and Cam Skatteb's energy will change, and while that's awesome from a Giants perspective, I don't care that much about the offense.I'm worried about the defense. The Denver game was the second late game and final crunch in which a key call by DC Shane Bowen was called into question.I wonder if the players are really bought into Bowen even though they say they are.

2-for-33 in the fourth quarter, allowing 33 points, is evident for the Giants defense. What is the problem with this unit?

This 33-point merger included:

- Questionable defensive call late on Bowen

- "Price transit bar, mostly through Tae and dry banks

- Fouls by Phillips and Kayvon Thibodeaux

- Maybe half a dozen passions, if not more

— Some missed missions

Does that sum it up? The biggest problem is that the secondary isn't very good, especially if safety Jevon Holland and cornerback Paulson Adobe (both nursing knee problems from the Denver game) are out.

3 - Jaxson Dart played well...but a bit reckless as a runner. How big is the concern that it might catch up with him?

Oh worry is no doubt.I think Denver was the first of his four great starts where he didn't have to go through the collision check. And he hit when he slipped. The child would hurt one day. Then again, everyone hurts at some point.

4 - I mentioned before your trading hours that Giatsers and sellers may be buyers of buyers and sellers may be buyers.Who should they send and who should they receive?

Well, what they could really use is a receiver.Wan'dale Robinson is their No. 1 Guy.He had an amazing year, the best of his career for four years, but he still has a slot with the least weapons in the League and you can't expect 50-50 goals in 1-on-1 Matchups. You have to make plans to get him the ball. They have to give the rookie quarterback the best chance to succeed, and if they can land a better hire, they should try to do so.

As for trading, if someone out there wants guys like Evan Neal, Deonte Banks, Russell Wilson or Jalin Hyatt, the Giants should be happy to take whatever draft capital they can get back. There are a lot of people who want to trade Kayvon Thibodeaux.I'm not for that unless the returns are significant.

5 - Who will win this match and why? With the Eagles currently listed as 7-point favorites, do you like New York to cover the spread?

The Eagles win the game.Well, the Giants beat the Eagles last season and I'm sure Philly intends to.I'm not greedy and there's no way the Giants are going to pick this game up.Certainly, I think it's a world in which they win.But do I hope so? As for the spread, the Giants have 10 touchdowns against the Eagles and Broncos -- two really good defenses -- the last two weeks. It is possible.Honestly, I need to see if Holland, Adebo, Brian Burns (who left the Denver game with a boot) and Darius Slayton, who has missed two games with a hamstring injury, are available before I fork over money one way or the other.
