A controversial call played a big role in the fourth quarter of the Baltimore Cubs' 27-22 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
The Baltimore Ravens lost to the Vanes 27-2
Both the Ravens and stealers are Sunday entered with 6-6 records, although they arrived at them in completely opposite about.Pittsburgh started the season 4-1 before a 2-5 slide.Baltimore, currently, started 1-5 before win five equally, and then losing to the Cincanity Bengals last week.
Both sides were desperate for a game that would give the winner the lead in the AFC North.
With less than three minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Ravens were driving when quarterback Lamar Jackson appeared to find tight end Isaiah for a 13-yard touchdown in the middle of the end zone.
Supposedly he caught the ball in the end zone and took two steps before the ball was knocked out of his hands.Initially, the referee ruled the catch a touchdown. However, after replay review, it was determined that he had not made a "football move" after two steps, and the play was ruled an incomplete pass.
"They called," Most likely told reporters after the game."I have to live with what the judges say at the end of the day."
The decision took a step from the Baltimore board.Three plays later, the Ravens turned the ball over after failing to convert a 4th-and-5.
Baltimore manages to pass the ball one more time, but only has one timeout and the Ravens come up short by 74 yards.
It is the result of not touching wisdom.
Instead of Baltimore taking a late lead, the Steelers held on for the win and moved to 7-6.Pittsburgh is now in first place in the division and fourth in the AFC.The Ravens, meanwhile, dropped from fourth to 10th, and are two games behind the Indianapolis Colts for the conference's final playoff spot.
To make matters worse for Baltimore, its final four games of the season will not be easy.
Three of the Ravens' last four games are on the road.Their only home game in the last month of the season is against the New England Patriots 11-2.
Baltimore isn't done, as it will have a Week 18 game against Pittsburgh for revenge. But with the Ravens no longer able to win the tiebreaker against the Steelers, they will need help to come back and win the AFC North.
