The Detroit Lions made some changes on offense Sunday afternoon, and it appears to have been a great move.

The Lions head was faced with a banner on Sthuneti in the north arm of the Stadium and they called the police down the leaders of Washington, which took half time.

“It’s just a change,” he told Fox’s Megan Olive during the break.“We wanted to mix things up.”

That change worked.

The Lions scored on Maryland's first eight drives. From Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon took a 25-10 lead into the cellar thanks to a 9-yard 9-yard reception from Brown.

Jameson Williams caught a 14-yard pass to increase the halftime lead and then Gibbs exploded for a 44-yard score in the fourth quarter.

With everything clicking perfectly, it allowed the Lions to win by 22 points.

Jared Goff went 25 of 33 passing for 320 yards and three touchdowns in the win.Gibbs finished with 142 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries on the ground, and had another 30 yards and a touchdown on three catches.David Montgomery had 71 yards on 15 carries, and Williams had 119 yards and a score on six catches. The win pushes the Lions to 6-3 on the year.

While it wasn't their highest-scoring day of the season (they gave up 52 points against the Chicago Bears in September), they were close. The Lions' 44 points fell short of their Week 2 win and nearly doubled their point total over the last two games.Asked how the team plans to jumpstart their offense after last week's loss to the Minnesota Vikings, Campbell was vague about what he would try.

"I have a million ideas," he said via the Detroit Free Press.

Campbell said after the game that he spoke with offensive coordinator John Morton after last week's loss. While Morton no longer calls players, Campbell insists he is "vital" to Detroit's offense.

"I know what I want to do, I know how I want to do it," Campbell said, via ESPN's Eric Woodyard ."Now, that being said, it's a collaborative effort. I've been getting input from John Morton this whole time, and the other coaches. ... I just wanted to change it up a little bit. Let's see if another playmaker can give us some pace. That's it. Honestly, it's nothing more than that."

Lions held the leaders in a good season.Washington (3-7) lost five.Marcus Maiiota went 16-22 for 213 yards with a pair of touchdowns.Jakryman had 78 carries of 30 yards and 30 yards, Traylon had three carries.

Washington lost running back Jaden Daniels to a gruesome elbow injury last week, and running back Darron Payne went down in the first half on Sunday after returning and hit his helmet on one of Gibbs' hits. Clearly, things aren't going well in the locker room.

But thanks to Campbell, the Lions reinvented their offense by getting rid of Morton.Whether that streak continues — the Lions face the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday night in what's sure to be a big test — remains to be seen.
